As long as we focus on our overall health, It’s not that hard to look great every single day. Some common beauty issues can be quickly taken care of, even though they are highly irritating. Being ready to use ingredients that you have a home could do miracles when you need them. The following DIY beauty hacks are simple enough to do them at home, but their effects are amazing. Check them out:
1. Get thicker eyelashes
If you want to pump up your mascara’s effect, then gather the following items: loose powder (even translucent will work), a disposable mascara wand, your favorite mascara, and a thinner wand bottom mascara.
Take the disposable mascara wand and roll it in the loose powder. Remove the excess powder by tapping the wand against the side of the container. Sweep the wand through your lashes horizontally, and then repeat the action vertically. Next, use your mascara as usual and finish with the thin wand for the bottom lashes.
2. Gradient nails
Gradient nails have been popular these days, and they are not so hard to make at home. You’ll need a cosmetic sponge, scissors, 2 or 3 nail polish colors, and a nail polish remover.
Cut the sponge halfway through to get two halves and apply three lines of polish onto half of the sponge that you made. Dab each nail with the sponge carefully to gently blend the colors. You’ll achieve it by shifting the placement of dabbing. You’ll probably be able to dab the coat on five nails before having to reapply the polish. Three coats will suffice, just let every layer to dry out completely before you move on to the next one. Lastly, apply the topcoat.
3. Brighten your smile
We all do various things to have a great smile, including wearing braces or applying chrome dentures. These methods are effective, but sometimes you want a quick fix, at least when it comes to a white smile.
Get a ripe banana (it means the banana contains a lot of potassium, which brightens the teeth). Open it like a monkey, from the bottom end. Take a small piece of the inside and gently rub it along your teeth. Do it for two minutes and make sure you have covered each tooth. Brush your teeth with toothpaste and see the difference.
4. Get rid of split ends
Split ends can be very annoying once you notice them. They can make any hairstyle look bad. You don’t need a visit to your hairstylist to get rid of them. Just twist your hair and snip along the outside, removing the split ends. Then twist a couple of strands together and snip away the hairs that are sticking out. Your hair will instantly look smoother and healthier.
5. Remove dark circles and puffy eyes
Annoying dark circles and puffy eyes in the morning can be easily dealt with. You’ll need two tablespoons of organic ground coffee powder and two tablespoons of extra virgin coconut oil.
Put the coffee powder into a bowl and add coconut oil. Shake it well and apply the mask on a clean face. Keep it for 15 minutes and remove the excess powder. You can use a mild cleanser to wash it off.
6. Seal your lipstick to last
Lipsticks often smudge or rub off, so you don’t look the same at the end of the day as you did in the morning. A tissue and translucent powder will help you seal it.
When you have applied the lipstick, hold a tissue over your lips and gently dust a bit of translucent powder over the tissue. The powder will gently fall onto your lips (through the tissue) and will help set the lipstick.
7. Don’t hide your grey hair
A couple of years ago, teenagers were dying their hair grey, but natural grey is in this year. If you have noticed a couple of grey hairs, don’t hide them but help them shine. Buy a shampoo and conditioner made explicitly for grey tresses. If you combine it with a neutral-colored outfit, you’ll look very cool and stylish.
8. DIY blackhead-removing strip
If you often struggle with blackheads on your nose, here’s a fast home remedy. There’s a cheap way to make your own blackhead removal strips. You will need one egg white, a paper towel that’s been cut into small strips and a bowl to mix everything in it.
After you’ve separated the egg white, put it into the bowl. Dip your strip into the egg white and then remove the excess egg white from the strip. Apply the strip on your nose and leave it for 10-15 minutes to dry. When you start pulling it off, do it slowly and start on the sides of your nose. Your nose should have much fewer blackheads after the treatment.
9. Treat cracked feet easily
Our feet have to withstand a lot of weight. We spend most of the day on our feet, so it’s no wonder our feet look bad. Not to mention the fact we usually forget about them when we’re applying body cream. To make the skin on your feet smooth again, take a few bananas and make ripe banana feet pack.
Mash ripe bananas and make a smooth paste out of them. Apply the paste to areas where you noticed cracks and rough skin. Leave the pack for at least 20 minutes or even better – leave it overnight. Wash it off later. If you do it regularly, you’ll notice how your feet get better more quickly.
10. Lemon for lighter armpits
If you get annoyed with darker skin under your armpits, there is a cheap remedy. Lemons contain antibacterial, antiseptic and acidic properties that remove dead skin cells and, consequently, lighten your skin. They also minimize the odor, because the odor is usually the result of bacteria and chemicals in the deodorant.
Take a couple of lemon slices and rub them on your armpits before you take a shower or a bath. Let the juice from the slices stay on your skin for 5 minutes, then wash it off with water. Apply a moisturizer after the bath because lemons can dry out the skin. Repeat it for 15 days, and you’ll notice the difference.
