This paper ball trimming is fast and simple. You can make enough of these for your whole tree in about an hour! Also its an incredible extend for your kiddos to assist with. An alternate extraordinary thing is, they store flat so they are not difficult to store for the next year or ship abroad to a loved one to give as a gift for a holiday.
How to Make a Paper Ball Ornament
- Circle punch (I used a 1.75″)
- Double-sided tape (or glue)
- Bone folder (optional)
Step 1: Punch out no less than 10 circles. For thick paper use fewer loops. For slim paper (machine paper) utilize more circles.
Step 2: Fold every circles into equal parts and polish with the bone folder.
Step 3: Tape (or paste) each one folded ring/circles on top of each other, making a big stack.
Step 4: Cut your twine (or lace) more than twice the length of the diameter of your circles. Overlay fifty-fifty and tie a knot at the bottom. Put it in the stack of circles. Glue the first and last circle parts to one another so the ornament wraps around the twine. The knot keeps the twine from sliding through.
