DIY Serving Tray

hope you all had a nice holiday! they sure go by quickly, don’t they?? well, today i’m showing you one of two crafts i made for the Cookie Swap party i hosted at my house last week. {more details and pics to come very soon!!} but i’m going to show off the pretty tiered serving tray i made.

square pedestal stand

the colors for my party swap were turquoise and red. {umm, love that color combo!!} so when i saw the square turquoise snowflake plates at Target, i had to have them.

i took 2 brass candle sticks from the thrift store {75 cents each} and spray painted them silver. then using E6000, i glued them between the 3 plates. so easy!!

*TIP: found out later that i did not have a good seal with the E6000 on the middle tray. blast! i think the spray paint was too thick. so be careful of that when you use E6000 on spray paint.*

so for a few dollars, i made this pretty serving dish. AND i saw these plates on Target’s after Christmas clearance. so you could make this dish stand for really cheap.

i really love this pedestal serving dish! the colors are perfect and the sparkly snowflakes….LOVE!!
