DIY Headboard – 4 1×6 boards, sanding block, cup of stain & Command Hanging Strips!

If what you need is a little incentive to make your bedroom more “user friendly”, let us put it this way, you can see below our proposal just to do so.

And on top of it all, this is not an expensive proposal, it is just a time consuming one. However, this time can be spent with your loved one, as well. If she intends to give you a helping hand to the project.

Things to use:

  • 4 1×6 boards
  • a sanding block
  • a can of stain
  • Command hanging strips

Things to do:

  1. The first thing first. Just get your stuff ready next to you and start preparing the pieces. All the things you need is some stain to cover the boards with the color of your choice. This is the one thing that will give personality to your bedroom.
  2. The next thing is to think where exactly you would like them to be positioned, at the upper part of your bed, lower or higher, how much should it cover the wall and how much to hide, etc. These little details that mean a lot in the end result.
  3. While this is decided, let us go to the next step – putting it on the wall. A very good idea that will not damage your wall and would offer you the possibility of making future changes if you want to, is to opt for some command hanging strips. Put some of them on the wall and some on the board and then put the board at its place. Here you go! The project is done and your bedroom just got a little more personality.
