This Scandinavian-style greenery “Chandelier” is an eye-getting approach to attract visitors to a holiday cocktail or buffet table. It’s designed from a couple of cedar wreaths that have been embellished with wine-colored satin bows and suspended from the roof with lengths of the same ribbon.
- 16-inch-diameter cedar wreath
- 22-inch-diameter cedar wreath
- 17 yards of 2-inch-wide red satin ribbon
- Ceiling hook
With the little wreath’s wire frame confronting up, slip 1 end of a 5-foot ribbon length through frame’s edge, and knot firmly. Rehash with 2 extra 5-foot ribbons, tying at evenly spaced intervals around wreath.
Assemble ribbons together, and tie at a focus 15 inches above middle of wreath. Leave these hanger ribbons in center of wreath while finalizing the large wreath.
Join three 4-foot ribbon lengths to large wreath frame.
Place large wreath on top of little wreath, straightening hanger ribbons. Accumulate hanger ribbons of both wreaths together, and knot 20 inches above the center of large wreath. Trim ends of hanger ribbons above top knot to make a fulfilled look.
Screw hook into roof. Hang wreaths from top hanger ribbon knot.
Tie a 4-foot ribbon length at base of every hanger ribbon, and design into an excellent bow. Trim bow tails to 12 inches.
